Entrepreneur

I have long been a believer in entrepreneurship, and an advocate of owning one’s own business. In the ’90s, when e-zines were just beginning, I published a hobby newspaper. Later I founded and ran a publishing company full-time (which I still own today).

Below are three entrepreneurial endeavors I’m currently involved with:

Face2Face Youth Group

In late 2017, my wife and I co-created the Face2Face Youth Group, a group for parents of pre-teens and early teens (ages 10-14) looking for “offline” social activities and events for their kids. Here’s our promotional video to tell you more about it:

You can view all of the promo videos on the Face2Face Youth Group YouTube channel.

Success Reentry Solutions

I am the Founding Director of GAATES, Inc., a California 501(c)(3) charitable and public benefit nonprofit corporation doing business as Success Reentry Solutions. Its mission is to reduce recidivism and lessen the burden on government by helping ex-offenders through personal development, career readiness, and success strategies.

Our goal is to have programs that provide counseling, job seeking assistance and other support services that help adult and/or juvenile offenders re-integrate into the community following their release from a correctional facility.

We’re planning a 30-day educational program, as well as a 3-month “success camp” in the mountains, complete with CBT-based classes combined with outdoor activities, such as hiking, boating and horseback riding, in a mountain camp environment.

Home Business

My wife and I run a growing business from our home. The business is expanding, with business partners in 24 countries and growing.

We are very proud of the fact that our entrepreneurial efforts are directly impacting families across the country, through our participation in a program designed to feed hungry children in the U.S. and Canada. In 2015 our goal was to provide meals for 1 Million hungry children in the U.S. We shattered that goal, providing 1.2 Million meals. This year our goal is 1.5 Million meals for hungry children, and you can help us reach that goal. Imagine not only earning extra money but feeding hungry children just by paying the same bills you’re already paying every month!

If you’re interested in more information about our program and how you can work with us, and helping to feed hungry kids, contact me.
