What I learned from Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru, the new documentary on Netflix
In today’s video I talk about one of the big take-a-ways from Tony Robbins’ new documentary. I’m excited to share what I learned from Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru, which is now available on Netflix.
I am a Tony Robbins fan
First of all, in the interest of full disclosure, I am a Tony Robbins fan. I hosted a private screening of the film when it first came out. In addition, I also attended a live Q&A session with Tony Robbins himself immediately following the film. I like Tony Robbins and I respect his work.
What I thought of the film
With that said, I believe this is a great film. I Am Not Your Guru is packaged as a documentary. It covers a six-day “Date With Destiny” Tony Robbins event held in Florida back in 2014. At the event, Tony teaches life lessons and also interacts with a number audience members. Tony also helps them achieve amazing breakthroughs in their lives. While it could ultimately be described as a promotional vehicle for Robbins, it remains a good film that illustrates the work that Tony does and how he helps people at these events. Ultimately, I feel it can provide powerful insights for the viewer. Because of this, I recommend you see it.
I learned several important things from the film, which I put into practice in my own life. Because of this, I encourage you to watch it, if for no other reason than because perhaps you will get personal insights of your own. I’ll be discussing the three most impactful lessons I learned from I Am Not Your Guru in an upcoming video. In this video I talk about one of my biggest take-a-ways from the film. Watch the video below to hear just what that was.
Maybe you got some value from this video. Either you did or you didn’t; either way I’m cool. But if you did, or if you got inspired because of something I said, please consider giving it a thumbs up and sharing it with others.
Finally, if you are looking for inspiration, you can also download a free chapter from my latest book, Beat the Curve, with Brian Tracy. In my chapter I wrote about my experience co-creating and co-facilitating a class in a county jail and some of the lessons I took away from my experience there.
